djay Pro gives you professional multi-channel output options. Route your main output and monitor channels through any class compliant USB audio interface when performing in the club or in the studio.
A number of DJ controllers were designed to seamlessly work with djay Pro. In addition to supporting over 60 MIDI controllers out of the box by manufacturers such as Pioneer DJ, Numark, Denon, Reloop, and others, djay Pro also includes an advanced MIDI Learn system so you can map your controller individually.
Djay Pro Windows
Beatport LINK is currently supported in the following djay apps: djay Pro AI for iOS and djay Pro AI for Mac (currently only available on Intel-based Macs). It is not available in djay Pro for Windows.
Hello mate, if is still important the folder where to put your mappings file isC:/Users/[YOURUSER]/AppData/Local/Packages/XXXXXXX.djayPro_XXXXXXXXXXXXX/LocalState/Library/Algoriddim/MIDI Mappingswhere XXXXXXX and XXXXXXXXXXXXX are two alphanumeric random strings.Hope it helps.
I also bought the mac version but the display on my mac is to small to fit the view I like so I have installed on my touch screen HP Pc that I had to upgrade to windows 10 (was free). Now I have a huge touch screen but yes sucks I had to buy another copy. Also liked djpro so much looking at upgrading my Dj controller to an actual one built for DJ Pro and guess what they come with the software so had to buy it again. How many times do you need to buy the same software?
Yes, for a few months now Serato DJ has Tidal and Soundcloud Go+ integration. Unlike with Algoriddim djay that allows logging in to multiple streaming services, you need to choose in the settings which one of the two streaming services should be accessible in the library. I went with Tidal but I can see how for some DJs SoundCloud might be the preference. My Mixon 4 controller is foremost a Serato controller that unlocks Serato DJ Pro when plugged in to USB. At the same time it is also fully mapped for djay Pro and several other DJ programs. Before getting this controller I was using djay on Android tablet only with a USB audio interface. Never got the Windows version to run stable enough.
DJs are tactile people. They want to feel the scratch and turn the knobs. The new Algoriddim djay Pro app for Windows 10 ($139.00 at Microsoft Store)(Opens in a new window) , with its support for Microsoft's Surface Dial and the new Surface Studio all-in-one PC, fulfills those needs. The app has been available for iOS and macOS for several years, but the Surface Studio is uniquely suited to djay Pro, providing both the visual and tactile interfaces that bring this very cool software's capabilities to the fore.
The only way to get the Dial-compatible app is as a $49.99 Windows Store purchase. You can get plenty of other DJ apps there, and most are $4.99 or less. But djay Pro is on a far different plane, as its name suggest. It's suitable for professional DJs, and is priced more along the lines of Serato(Opens in a new window), a popular competitor, which starts at $50 and goes up to $300 for its entire squadron of effects and tools. Djay, too, can cost more than the initial price, as it offers in-app filter effect purchases.
Along the bottom of the screen are your song sources. As soon as you open the app, you'll see music listed as potential scratch fodder along the bottom of the window. You can access Windows Media Player playlists, find any music files in on-disk folders, and even search for songs. But who uses local music files anymore? Luckily, buttons let you switch the song list to your Spotify or iTunes libraries. It doesn't let you add your Groove or SoundCloud libraries, though competitor edjing 5 does the latter seamlessly. To get your iTunes Library to show up in djay Pro, you open iTunes' applications setting and enable XML sharing. And to hook up your Spotify tunage, you need a Premium account.
One of the best things about djay Pro is how easy it makes matching key and tempo between tracks. It's not something that all DJ software can do, and in my testing, I didn't hear any sound degradation, though lowering or raising the key of a vocal track too much can make the singer sound unnatural. One thing I didn't find in the very rich app was pitch bending; it seems you can do this with external controllers, but not in the software. That said, you can power down the virtual turntable to grind the music to a halt or scratch to speed up.
Algorridim claims that djay Pro is the first app with zone-aware support for the Surface Dial ($52.99 at Amazon)(Opens in a new window) . What this means is that its function is different depending where it is. If you place it over Deck 1, for example, you can control filter effects on the track playing there, and if you put it over Deck 2, you'd apply the effect to that track. Without changing any settings, you can place the Dial on the library area to browse through your song list.
Since you're an artist, you surely want to save your creations for posterity, and djay Pro lets you record them. Recordings are saved as high-quality WAV files, and the feature worked perfectly in my testing. One thing missing in the app that's in the Apple versions is video mixing, so veejays must hold off till that's added.

djay Pro for Windows offers iTunes and Spotify integration as well (remember iTunes for Windows?) for finding music to mix. And like the touch-based djay Pro for iOS, djay Pro with Windows is optimized for touch control especially on the Microsoft Surface Studio with Surface Dial integration.
After a short few months in beta, Algoriddim's djay Pro has finally arrived as a native Windows 10 app. Prior to this, the Apple-centric software added Android to its roster of mobile devices, including the iPad Pro, but otherwise hasn't been available on bigger touchscreens. The extensive line of Windows hybrids seem well-suited to hands-on digital DJing, but when you consider the Surface Studio, you have a monster of an interface and a match made in heaven.
Algoriddim didn't rebuild the application from the ground up for this new platform, it used Windows Bridge for iOS to translate djay Pro into a native Windows 10 app. That means it's just one codebase for the product across all platforms, with just a few local tweaks to adapt to the Windows environment. There may still be a few bugs to work out, but that's par for the course with a fresh new release.
If you've used djay Pro before, you'll be hard pressed to notice any changes here, so there's no learning curve using the app on Windows, aside from the machine's OS, of course. You can finally break from free from tablets to utilize the full touchscreen interface, and while a laptop screen does have a good bit of real estate, the kicker here is the ability to use the Surface Studio and its massive 28-inch PixelSense screen as a DJ workstation.
As long as your PC or mobile device has a USB interface, you can also use one of over 60 MIDI controllers with the djay Pro app for Windows 10, providing a more three-dimensional tactile experience with the ability to map hardware controls to software actions. After trying this on the Surface Studio though, I could see the argument for just using a large touchscreen without too many drawbacks.
Algoriddim's djay Pro arrives today in the Windows Store for $49.99, with free trials available if you want to take it for a test drive first. You'll need a machine running Windows 10 Desktop Version 1607 or later.
djay is a digital music mixing software program for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows,[1] iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch created by the German company algoriddim. It allows playback and mixing of digital audio files with a user interface that tries to simulate the concept of "two turntables and a microphone" on a computer. Before the commercial release in November 2007, djay had initially been released as freeware in June 2006.[2] In December 2010 the software was also released for the iPad,[3] and subsequently for iPhone and iPod Touch in March 2011.[4]
djay's iTunes integration allows the user to mix songs directly from the iTunes library. It provides the option of browsing the library, for example by Playlist, Artist, Album, Genre, Key or History. Dragging songs onto the turntables in djay, transforms them into virtual records complete with album art.
Automix mode enables djay to automatically mix songs from the iTunes library, and play them instantaneously with DJ-style transitions. Using the Automix Queue the user can step in any time and immediately queue up tracks. 2ff7e9595c
